WATERFRONT
‘WHAT A FRONT’?
2020 Plan Pathway to a better Darwin
CAMPAIGN: Waterfront Foreshore &
Jervois Park Public Access
DAY/DATE: Saturday 1st August 2020
TIME: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
LOCATION: Goyder Park,
Kitchener Drive, Darwin
- Do Darwin citizens and tourists have a right to access crown land including the Waterfront (Wharf 2) foreshore and Jervois Park, adjacent to Goyder Park both important recreational areas?
- Currently both public green space sites are restricted from public access due to unattractive ATF temporary wire fencing surrounding a construction site which fails the Darwin Waterfront Plan Scheme?
- Empower the Darwin community to ensure another ‘DEAD SITE’ is not enabled to languish for years allowing trees to die and tourist sites to be hidden; failing the NT Planning Act.
- Join PLan members and friends to understand:
- who owns the fencing?
- why is it allowed to disrupt the local community’s ability to walk, bike and fish from the foreshore and to use the recreation and heritage tourist facilities on Jervois Park
